Takapuna Boating Club Open Day & Have a Go Day

Sunday 18 October | Have a Go 11am–1pm | Official Opening 1.30pm

Come and spend the day with us at Takapuna Boating Club as we celebrate the beginning of another summer season.

Our Open Day is for everyone – Active Members, Social Members, families, friends and non-members who would like to come down, meet some people and discover what Takapuna Boating Club is all about.

From 11am until 1pm, we’re giving people the opportunity to have a go at sailing or paddling on one of our surfskis. It’s a great chance for anyone who has wondered what it is like to get out on the water from Takapuna Beach.

Pre-registration is required for sailing and paddling, as numbers and time slots are limited.

But our Open Day isn’t only about getting on the water. We want it to be an inclusive day where everyone can take part, so there will be plenty happening on shore too.

• Have a Go Sailing & Surfski Paddling: 11am–1pm – pre-registration essential

• Beach walk & beach clean-up: Join us for a walk along our beautiful beach and help collect any rubbish along the way

• Family activities: Scavenger beach hunt, games and activities for the kids

• Kitchen: Open from 10am

• Members Bar: Open from 12pm

• Official Summer Season Opening: 1.30pm

• Everyone welcome: Active Members, Social Members, non-members, family and friends

Stay for lunch or a drink, enjoy one of the best views on the North Shore and take the opportunity to meet other members of the club.

If you’re not currently a member, this is also a great opportunity to come and have a look around, meet some of our members and find out about our sailing, paddling and social activities.
