Takapuna Boating Club runs weekend regattas for youth and senior dinghy sailors, multihulls, and wind-surfers throughout the year. Takapuna offers one of the best sailing venues in Auckland, if not the world and has hosted numerous world and national championships in recent years. Most of New Zealand's Olympic yachtsmen and women have trained off Takapuna Beach before heading to success overseas.

Takapuna Boating Club is widely recognised as Auckland’s premiere sailing location and home to many of New Zealand’s past and present champion sailors.

Situated on the beautiful beachfront in the heart of Takapuna, the club hosts both national and international events and offers a full range of facilities to support sailors of all levels and experience.


  • Qualified sailing instructors
