Our fantastic Auckland venue caters for a wide range of functions, events, meetings, weddings and informal conferences in both our Main Deck (main room) and Top Deck bars as detailed below. Member functions help the club raise funds for upcoming regattas, boating equipment and maintain this beautiful venue. We offer a wide range of membership starting from just $55 per year. All members are encouraged to take full advantage of our venue hire options for special occasions.
Main Deck Capacity:
Formal Dinner Configuration - 85 guests maximum
Theatre Style Configuration - 85 guests maximum
Cocktail Party Configuration - 120 guests maximum
Top Deck Capacity:
Formal Dinner Configuration - 40 guests maximum
Venue Hire Charges (Minimum hire period 2 hours)
Either venue is to be booked separately. Charges from Friday after 2pm and Saturday are $100.00 plus GST per hour, per venue. All other times: $80.00 plus GST per hour, per venue.
Bar Service Charges
Our bar is available for any member of the club and their guests, accompanied by a member. We are also able to allow reciprocal rights with any other club. To arrange this please contact us. In accordance with our Club Liquor License, if non-member are attending the function and the bar is required, we must apply for a Special License administered by Auckland Council. We will apply on for one however a non-refundable fee (POA) of is required to submit an application to council for this, and applications may take up to 20 days. Bookings are only confirmed once the Special License has been approved.

Bar Staff Requirements Per Venue:
If your require the bar open for your event, the charge is $80.00 plus GST to open bar per bar staff member on duty. This covers two hours service with one bartender. Bar staff charges are $25.00 plus GST per bartender per hour thereafter.
Bar Staff Minimum:
up to 40 guests
Bar staff rates will vary on public holidays

Takapuna Boating Club Catering Options:
All catering or food of any kind on the premises is to be provided by one of our two contracted caterers as detailed below.For catering, the normal procedure is to visit their websites and go through the various options available for you. Feel free to contact one of the caterers via email or phone for further information. Payment for catering is arranged directly between the client and the caterer. Rates and conditions are subject to change prior to confirmed booking.

Venue Hire - Booking and Payment:
This deposit also serves as a bond should you be liable for any damage incurred to our premises during your function. Generally this is not the case and the amount is then offset against the final invoice. Your final invoice will be forwarded to your postal address and payment is due within 7 days.

NB: Please note that Takapuna Beach Reserve adjacent to our club is a public reserve and outside the control of our club. If you have any queries regarding this reserve please contact the Auckland Council directly.
