How to book functions

The Takapuna Boating Club is able to offer facilities for functions, events, meetings and informal conferences in both our Main Deck and Top Deck bars as follows:
 
Main Deck Capacity:  
Formal Dinner Configuration - 85 guests maximum
Theatre Style Configuration - 85 guests maximum
Cocktail Party Configuration - 120 guests maximum
Top Deck Capacity:  
Formal Dinner Configuration - 40 guests maximum
Theatre Style Configuration - 50 guests maximum
Cocktail Party Configuration - 60 guests maximum
Venue Hire Charges (Minimum hire period 2 hours)
Each Venue: Friday after 2pm and Saturday $100.00 plus GST per hour
                   All other times                          $80.00 plus GST per hour
 
Bar Service Charges
In accordance with our Club Liquor License you are required to be a club member for us to serve alcohol to you and your guests. If requiring bar service for your function you are required to join the Club as an Associate Member for a minimum 3 month period. The cost is $50.00 plus GST from 1st September, 2010.
 
Each Venue: $80.00 plus GST to open bar per bar staff member on duty. This covers two hours service with one bartender. $25.00 plus GST per bartender per hour thereafter.

Barstaff rates will vary accordingly on public holidays

All catering or food of any kind on the premises is to be provided by our contracted caterer as detailed below:

The normal procedure is to contact Corporate Caterers to discuss menus and prices directly once you have ascertained the availability of our venue. Payment for catering is arranged between the client and Corporate Caterers.
 
Booking and Payment
 
A deposit of $300.00 is required to secure your selected date and venue. Should you decide to cancel your booking this deposit is non refundable except in circumstances where we have been able to re book the venue for this date at a revenue equal to or above your original booking. In this case a $50.00 administration fee will apply and $250.00 will be refunded after the date originally booked.
 
This deposit also serves as a bond should you be liable for any damage incurred to our premises during your function. Generally this is not the case and the amount is then offset against the final invoice. Your final invoice will be forwarded to your postal address and payment is due within 7 days.
 
Rates and conditions are subject to change prior to confirmed booking.
 
NB:  Please note that Takapuna Beach Reserve adjacent to our club is a public reserve and outside the control of our club. If you have any queries regarding this reserve please contact the North Shore City Council directly.
